The main issue between anxiety and hair loss is stress. Anxiety is, in most ways, long term and insistent stress. As technically these both are the separate circumstances and having a long term stress on its own can cause of many of the same problems, the reality is when someone struggling with anxiety is putting himself under serve physical and mental stress all the time.

Stress can lead to many conditions that can cause to hair loss. These include:

Alopecia Areata: In this a large clumps of hair are suddenly start falling in the areas around your scalp.

Telogen Effluvium: In this condition more hair than normal makes to fall out.

Trichotillomania: This is very dangerous habitual condition caused by anxiety and stress where somebody pills out hair without recognizing it.

All of these may be caused by stress and anxiety. So, stress cause hair loss.
